Pros:

• Unique desert experience: Ski Dubai offers a unique experience in the heart of Dubai desert. It allows visitors to indulge in skiing and snowboarding despite being located in a tropical climate. In my opinion, such contrast creates lasting and thrilling memories.
• Diverse range of activities: This ski resort in Dubai goes beyond just skiing and snowboarding. It offers a variety of exciting things to do such as tobogganing, snowball fights, ski lessons, ziplining and even interactions with penguins.
• Escape from the heat: I believe that one of the biggest advantages of this Dubai ski park is that it provides an all-weather fun experience. While Dubai’s scorching heat may limit outdoor activities, Ski Dubai offers a refreshing escape, especially if you are visiting in the summer months. This is one of my favourite activities to cool off when temperatures rise in Dubai.
• Close to other fun: The ski park is located inside the mall, meaning that after the activity you can go shopping or try plenty of other attractions located inside.
• Location: Ski Dubai is directly connected to a metro station offering seamless access to many Dubai areas, including Downtown Dubai, Deira and Dubai Marina.

Cons:

• Expensive photos: If you would like to pose with penguins during the penguin encounter you are not allowed to use your own camera, and professional photos are on a pricey side. On the other hand, you can use your camera without restriction during the rest of this activity.
• Not challenging enough for very experienced skiers: Dubai ski resort is designed for visitors of all skill levels, however, if you are a very experienced skier or snowboarder you may find the slope not challenging enough.

What is Ski Dubai

Ski Dubai is an indoor ski resort that stretches over 22,500 square metres and is part of the Mall of the Emirates. It’s the first-ever indoor ski resort in the Middle East that offers an amazing snow setting to enjoy winter activities. With a maintained temperature of -2 to -4 degrees Celsius, it’s a perfect place to escape the desert heat.

This Dubai ski dome features two main sections. The first one boasts an 85-metre hill with five slopes of varying difficulty, height and gradient. The longest run is 400 metres with a fall of over 60 metres. This section of Dubai ski resort is dedicated to skiing or snowboarding. Furthermore, there is an interactive Snow Park offering tobogganing, an exciting snowball fight, leisurely ice cave exploration and other activities.

A day of skiing is not successful without an apres-ski, and you can visit the Avalanche cafe directly by the slope or drink a cup of famous hot chocolate in the Ice Cafe within the Snow Park section.

What to wear to Ski Dubai
